Dr. Mary Schlangen Grew Up Surrounded By Animals Large And Small, Near Stillwater, Minnesota. Her Love Of Animals Fostered Her Dream Of Becoming A Veterinarian?A Dream She Realized In 1998. She And Her Husband Have Two Small Children, And She Has Long Dreamt Of Writing A Children's Book. Schlangen's Creative Talent Does Not End With Her Ability To Write. She Is Also A Self-Taught Painter, Providing All Of The Illustrations For This Heartfelt Story.
