Warner Was Born In Connecticut, Where She Lived Her Whole Life. Because Of Poor Health, She Did Not Finish School. But She Loved To Read And Write, And She Wrote Her First Book When She Was Nine Years Old. When World War I Broke Out, She Was Called Upon To Teach First Grade; She Continued To Teach For Thirty-Two Years.
