Bob & Sue Miller Grew Up In A Small Amish Community In Sugarcreek, Ohio. Christian Teaching And Good Home Cooking Were Part Of Their Upbringing, A Heritage Which Continued When They Established Their Own Home.
In 1971 The Millers Opened Das Dutchman Essenhaus, A Six-Day Amish Restaurant, Complete With Amish And Mennonite Cooks And Wait-Staff.
What Began As A Small Restaurant Has Expanded Into One Of Indiana's Largest And Finest Restaurants, A Bakery, A Country Inn, Numerous Shops, And A Wholesale Food Business; Employing As Many As 450 During The Tourist Season.
