James Watt / His Time In England, 1774-1819

Covers the formative years of the famous partnership of Boulton and Watt through the extension in 1775 of Watt?s 1769 patent to 1800. Watt finally succeeded in perfecting his steam pumping engine. It replaced earlier Newcomen engines in the Cornish mines but demands by Boulton and Watt for their patent premiums caused resentment and hostility.
